While Texas residents have no need for filing income tax online because their state is one of seven that does not impose individual income tax on its residents, they are required to pay Sales, Franchise and other taxes. Those paying over $100,000 taxes are required to pay through TEXNET, the state financial network. Residents are can still file their individual federal return online. Electronic filing is just good common sense because tax codes are updated, calculations are automated, and the convenience alone is a major reason a majority of taxpayers choose this method.
